Client Chaperones
We recommend hiring a client chaperone/driver to take care of foreign crew and/or agency clients when filming in South Africa.
Our chaperones understand the industry and can take care of your leisure time arrangements too. They can make dinner reservations at all the trendy restaurants, arrange a game of golf, a cable car ride up Table Mountain, a scenic drive through the Winelands, a visit to Cape Point to see the baboons and penguins or a shopping trip to Cape Town's well stocked Waterfront. They can also help with such mundane things as obtaining the correct electrical plug for your computer.
English is the most widely spoken language in South Africa but chaperones are available who speak a variety of languages.

Art Department
South African Art Directors have contributed to many international award winning commercials. They work with sophisticated set construction teams, props and wardrobe specialists, SFX wizards, dedicated pack specialists and greens men.

Casting
South Africa is known as The Rainbow Nation. Our population is made up of people from African, European, Indian, Asian and multi-ethnic backgrounds, so there is a huge diversity of looks available for the camera - whether as trained actors, models, character actors or extras.
Working with Lowe Lintas, South East Asia, Jane Warren successfully serviced commercials which featured twelve delightful Korean, Chinese and Japanese babies, all cast in Cape Town and Johannesburg.
We have cast Eskimos, Hispanics, Nordic blondes, chic Parisians, Californian surfers, Indian wrestlers, Eastern Europeans, dreadlocked Rastafarians, punk rockers and the boy and girl next door.
South African casting directors are experienced in commercials and features. Auditions are usually recorded, edited, packaged with accompanying stills and freighted to our clients. Additional stills can also be emailed to you - and if time is tight, casting tapes can also be telestreamed.

Crew
On going exposure to top international directors and DPs, on commercials and features, has resulted in South Africa having a large pool of highly trained, experienced and professional film technicians.
While saving a fortune in production, flight and accommodation costs - international directors enjoy working with our friendly, service orientated, highly experienced local crew.
Jane Warren knows the importance of hiring the best available crew and working as a team with creative collaboration.
For more information on crew see our Budgets and Quoting Section.
